The Time is Now.

The European energy industry is at a pivotal juncture. To remain competitive, as we transition to a more sustainable future, the role of human resources becomes even more paramount. Recruitment practices need to evolve, HR strategies must be redefined, and reskilling becomes not just a necessity but an imperative.

Close to two-thirds of all jobs are in Asia, and China alone accounts for 42% of the global total. It is followed by the European Union and Brazil with 10% each, and the United States and India with 7% each.

The renewable energy sector in the EU boasted an impressive employment of approximately 1.3 million individuals in 2020. With the accelerated adoption of clean energy solutions, this figure is poised to soar. To put things into perspective, our REPowerEU targets project the creation of a staggering 3.5 million jobs by 2030.

The biomethane and heat pumps sectors alone anticipate a demand for over 1 million skilled workers by 2030. The photo-voltaic solar energy sector mirrors this projection, estimating a workforce of 1 million by 2030, with a significant 66,000 jobs earmarked for manufacturing. Then there is the raw materials mining industry, which is key to the whole chain and and expects creation of 1.2 million new jobs in Europe in the sector.
